''Life & Legacy - The Challenges of Effective Estate Planning'' with David Kudish

North Shore Interest Group Breakfast -- Thursday, April 8, 7:30 a.m.

Details of the Presentation and Dialog Session

For April, we bring back fellow alum David Kudish, who has provided us with interesting and pointed presentations about investing through the years. This time he will tackle another important area--estate planning. David will discuss 10 key questions to consider in creating a comprehensive and integrated investment and estate plan. Good intentions aren’t enough; well-meaning people can end up with estate plans that have undesired, costly consequences. Come hear David’s perspective--an insightful, non-attorney point of view.  His 10 questions include essential, though often overlooked, issues.

About David Kudish
David Kudish is a founder of Advocate Asset Management LLC.  He is President of Advocate and chairs the Investment Strategy Committee. Founded in 2001, Advocate manages all-capitalization portfolios in the domestic and international capital markets with a top-down, macro-economic approach. Strategically managing asset allocation underlies the entire investment process; other important decision components are allocations to sectors and styles. Advocate currently uses Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) for investing in equities, bonds, and hybrids (convertible bonds, preferreds, commodities and real estate). In addition to managing separate account portfolios, Advocate manages a fund--Advocate Partners, L.P.--for smaller-sized investments.

Prior to Advocate, David was Chairman and CEO of Stratford Advisory Group, which he founded in 1982. Previous to Stratford, in 1974, he formed and acted as managing partner of the investment consulting practice at Hewitt Associates. With more than three decades of investment and consulting experience, David is a frequent speaker at investment conferences, addressing fund sponsors on a variety of investment-related issues. He has been quoted in leading business and financial publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Business Week and Forbes. He has also authored articles in leading journals and appeared on television as an investment authority. David received a B.S. with honors from the University of Rochester, and an M.S. from the University of Minnesota. In addition, he is a graduate of the Entrepreneurial Management Program at Harvard Business School.
